CELLS: Intro
INTRO
This book takes many of the short licks or 'Cells' arranges
them in order of quality ( major, minor, dominant and diminished )
and discusses the 'signature' characteristics of each.
Simple 'Cells' are followed by ones that carry new
ideas / alterations. This element of continuity enables
us to easily compare the changes to each new cluster.
Clusters have been chosen for:
- classic (cliche) note combinations
- quality changes within the chord
- extensions and substitutions to set chords
- intervals and enclosures
- or other qualities that makes them stand out as
usable / interesting licks
